If you’re going on this crazy journey, you may need some terminology help. Everything is in short-hand/by acronym, so it’s confusing as hell.  I’ll list a few here so if you need to do some googling and/or are starting out in a forum, you can understand what’s going on.

 

AF – Aunt Flo. This is what we refer to menstruation as.

TTC – Trying to conceive

BT – Baby/bone train

DTD – Doing the deed

O – Ovulation

FMU – First morning urine (yeah, it’s relevant)

DPO – Days past ovulation

CM – Cervical mucus

CF – Cervical fluid (much more preferable, if you ask me!)

OPK – Ovulation predictor kit

HCG – Human chorionic gonadotropin, the hormone your body produces when you’re up the duff

HPT – Home pregnancy test

TWW – The two week wait between ovulation and your period’s due date
